Socio-Economic Analyses is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by the Faculty of Economics, St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. It has been published since 2006. The journal's main mission is to support the development of scientific research in the economic and social sciences, and to promote interdisciplinary dialogue on current theoretical, methodological, and applied issues.
The journal publishes original scientific works focusing on theory, analysis and empirical research in economics, management, social activities, tourism and related fields. It also publishes scientific and methodological works, reviews, opinions, book review, and other materials related to the development of higher education and scientific research, focusing on economics, management, social activities, and tourism.
The journal is intended for a wide range of readers, including researchers, practitioners, students, and anyone interested in the research topics it covers.
The Socio-Economic Analyses journal is published twice a year: in June (Issue 1) and in December (Issue 2). The journal welcomes manuscript submissions in Bulgarian and English from authors whose research aligns with the journal's thematic scope and editorial policy.
Abstracting and indexing
Socio-Economic Analyses is indexed and referenced in national and international bibliographic databases, electronic libraries, and scientific information systems. This increase the visibility, discoverability, and accessibility of published scientific research.
These include ERIH PLUS, the Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL), the ROAD Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources, the WorldCat database, the COBISS+ database, the EZB Electronic Journals Library and the SUDOC database, as well as other international indexing and referencing systems.
The editorial board maintains high scientific quality and international visibility, and complies with good publishing practices. The board works to expand the journal's presence in established international indexing and referencing systems.
Academic ethics
The journal's editorial board adheres to the principles of academic and scientific integrity, transparency, and the independence of the editorial process. The journal has clear policies on publication ethics, the prevention of violations of good scientific practice, the use of artificial intelligence technologies, and conflicts of interest. It also has procedures for correcting and withdrawing publications. Detailed information is published in the Code of Ethics.
Plagiarism control
A preliminary check for similarity is carried out on all submitted manuscripts through the StrikePlagiarism.com system. If plagiarism, autoplagiarism or other violations of publication ethics are suspected, the editorial board will take action in accordance with the journal's established ethical standards.
Review policy
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial evaluation and similarity check are sent for double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. If necessary, the Editor-in-Chief may appoint an additional reviewer. A detailed description of the editorial process can be found in the Peer Review section.
