Abstract:
This article is dedicated to Aneta Dragushanu’s exhibition “Gradinata na Choveka” (The Garden of Man), coinciding with her 85th anniversary. It was held at the Boris Denev Art Gallery in Veliko Tarnovo at the end of 2022. During the event, over 60 works (paintings and drawings) owned by the artist and institutions from all over Bulgaria were shown. A few months later, Dragushanu donated 22 drawings, representing, at first glance, a plot that nourishes and further reveals the main pictorial line in the exhibition. The primary works appeared intuitively at the beginning of a complex creative search process, at the end of which we contemplate finished works in silence with admiration. Today, these works are an extremely valuable part of the rich collection of the Gallery. They were acquired by means of a takeover protocol of 1 September 2023, and they are currently described and stored with inventory numbers.
