Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to test and evaluate the effects of introductory training in Zumba and Latin dances on the physical and psychomotor development of preschool-aged children. To achieve this goal, the following objectives were set: to describe the Zumba and Latin dance programs and justify their methodological structure, to track the effects on motor and psychomotor indicators, to analyze the results of the sports-pedagogical experiment, to formulate recommendations for practical application. The results of the conducted sports-pedagogical experiment confirm that the targeted implementation of specialized programs using Zumba and Latin dance techniques has a positive impact on the development of physical, psychomotor, and personal characteristics in preschool-aged children. Dance training is also established as an educational tool with the potential to foster qualities such as confidence, resilience, and communication skills. This confirms its applicability in the context of personality-oriented education and the integrated development of children.
