Abstract:
The specific characteristics of football require that training be evaluated from the perspective of technical and tactical content as a fundamental prerequisite for the manifestation of motor activity. According to numerous authors, the technical actions of football players represent a distinct process of expressing specific abilities and are highly dependent on the level of their motor skills. Consequently, technical elements are performed effectively only when supported by a sufficiently high level of physical preparedness at a given stage of long-term player development. In this context, the aim of the study is to establish the correlations between anthropometric indicators and technical skills before and after the application of a methodology for technical training of 10–12- year-old football players.
