Abstract:
„Periodical Magazine of the Bulgarian Literary Society“ is the first edition of Bulgarian book writers. It started in Braila in 1870, where by 1876 a total of 12 books were published. After moving the center of the so ciety to the capital of the newly liberated state, the journal began to be pub lished more regularly, increased the quality of the published materials, di versified the content, organized competitions, began an intensive exchange with books and scientific journals of Slavic scientific societies, as well as scientific organizations from a number of European countries – France, Austria-Hungary, Germany, England, etc. With this name, the magazine was published until 1912, when the literary society grew into the Academy of Sciences, the name of the publication also changed. The character, the method of preparation and publication of the magazine, the help that the state gives to writers so that they can publish the results of their first scientific works will be discussed in this article.
