Abstract:

According to Bulgarian customary law, witnesses play an essen tial role in the processes of law enforcement and administration, acting as catalysts of public relations. Their constitution in this capacity has under gone significant changes over the years. Today, their rights and obligations are regulated by the legislator in a narrower scope of action, which mainly contribute to revealing the objective truth.
