Abstract:

In this publication, the author presents his latest research in the field of ethnological research methodology, which reflects both the latest achievements in the scientific field and the consequences of the dynamic de velopment of modern social processes, which directly affect the approaches and scientific tools of the researchers. Two main events fall into the focus of the analysis: the powerful and comprehensive entry of information and communication technologies into the scientific process and the growth of the influence of social networks and the consequences of the COVID-19 pan demic. The author proposes the launch of a broad scientific discussion about their impact on the methods of studies of the relationship between individ ual, culture and society in the perspective of ethnological/anthropological research.
