Abstract:

The political change on the Ninth of September 1944 is probably the most important event in the modern political history of Bulgaria. The significance of the event is equal only to the controversy surrounding it. To this day, both the mechanism of political change and its nature are debated. Addressing both topics is unattainable within a single article. Therefore, this paper will focus solely on the mechanism of political change on the Ninth of September 1944. The aim of the research is not so much to give answers, but to provoke a discussion from a theoretical point of view.
