Abstract:

The territorial unification of the Bulgarian lands with the annex ation of the greater part of Vardar Macedonia and the Western outskirts to Bulgaria is a product and a direct consequence of the changed German policy towards Yugoslavia after March 27, 1941. So, even before the deter mination of the new borders in Southeast Europe, the future conflicts and possible partnerships in line with the preservation and international settle ment of the new territorial status quo in the region in the event of a German victory are being outlined.
