Abstract:

The documentary legacy of the Tarnovo artist and historian Ne dyalko Karaneshev, deposited in the State Archives of Veliko Tarnovo, pro vides researchers with valuable information about numerous Revival fig ures such as Vasil Levski, Matei Preobrazhenski, Nikola Slavkov, and Veneta Boteva. The documents and memories collected by him form the basis of several monographic studies. Unexplored details and topics of discussion from the biographies of the Bulgarian Revival heroes are still found among the manuscripts.
