Abstract:
Recently, the issue of the introduction and use of digital technologies in the process of training specialists
at higher education institutions has been increasingly raised. Modern socio-economic conditions
dictate their requirements for future subjects of labour. The higher education institution has found itself in
a situation of rapid restructuring due to the challenges of modern reality. The changes concern not only
the education system and the processes of obtaining knowledge and working with information, but also all
aspects of human life. The increased information flow, the changes and the introduction of new technologies
in the field of production require rapid restructuring, constant training, and professional development from
the modern person. Thus, the burden on institutions that train specialists for different industries and fields
of activity increases. This article provides a theoretical analysis of the existing problems of the educational
environment of universities in the context of the digital transformation of society. It presents and summarizes
the results of empirical research. It also outlines the prospects for development in the use of digital
technologies in the educational environment. Despite the introduction and use of various educational technologies,
the main burden falls on higher school teachers as they transfer knowledge to future subjects of
labour, taking into account the requirements of the development of modern society.
