Abstract:
The article examines the educational strategies and policies of 11 Southeastern European countries in the context of geographical education, sustainable development, sustainability, and a green future. Comparative models for developing educational policies towards sustainability in selected countries are presented according to criteria – strategic vision, curricula, program elements with integration towards sustainability, teacher sustainability competencies, availability of support to schools for teaching towards a sustainable future, and environmental education, etc.
