Abstract:
Material culture, more commonly called the cultural production of society, emerges from and is shaped by the non-material aspects of culture. Tracing the development of the Cypriot historical and cultural tradition, we can claim that it is very rich and dates back to the seventh millennium BC. We share the opinion that the concept of cultural policy in Cyprus has rather traditional connotations and is limited to the traditional segregation of artistic forms. Culture is the basis for achieving a high quality of life, creating full-fledged individuals, and making sense of our existence in general.
